Say it quietly - but I think summer might be about to arrive?

Here is my recipe for my Summer Lentil Salad with Burrata cheese. Perfect to serve up at a BBQ!

A delicious lentil salad surrounding gooey burrata cheese. Nutty citrus dressing. Perfect for a summer feast or picnic.

Of course we will be at Kington Festive Food Festival 2023 - Wild Horses would not keep us away! This is "coming home" for me!
BUT BUT BUT
In the next few weeks i should have some really exciting news about a collaboration! All I can say now, is that it will be mighty tasty and I am thrilled to be teaming up with a fellow Herefordshire based foodie for it!!!!
Any guesses?

HOW ARE WE AT MONDAY AGAIN? Where did that week go to? As I get older I find it scary how quickly time evaporates!

I started the week on the Foodie Friends Podcast with my lovely friend Joanna Walshe, chatting about Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Both Jo and I have had breast cancer, and it was fascinating to see how she managed her journey!!! I learnt so much. It is very light hearted and it may help you if you know someone who is struggling with breast cancer. Just search "Foodie Friends" on your favourite podcast provider!

Whilst on the subject, thank you for all of the kind feedback about the episode I created with my son George. You loved it and as per the suggestion of one listener, we are available for a series on Netflix!

Malvern Farmers Market on Saturday - coo - cold and damp. A few new stalls there this month which I always find exciting! I shall be posting some recipes using some of my buys this week.
Thank you to all of my regular customers who braved the elements to come and buy from me. I really am so grateful!

Sunday was a bit of me time. Had a lovely walk with Claire Trumper from Trumpers Tea (the best tea!) and then lunch with my friend Emily at The Bookshop One of our favourite haunts. Fab Sunday lunch and such an amazing vibe!! Emily and I worked together during covid to keep our businesses (and sanity) afloat. She has a new fabulous job, so her equestrian wear business is closing. She has a few bargains left to be snapped up on her website (Cavallo Lusso) - great gifts!!

I am thinking this week I may do a bit of experimental cooking. Would you like to see something new for Christmas? Let me know.

News Flash ** Changes at Myrtles. In 2 months time, we will be leaving our kitchen at The Hop Pocket.
I am returning a little to my roots, and scaling back. Unfortunately ingredients, jar prices, electricity ... hikes have meant that it is no longer viable to stay as we are - so it is all change & production will be happening once again at home from a newly refurbished kitchen in what was once a garage!
NOTHING IF NOT FLEXIBLE!
I will still be doing some events and will be selling from our online shop.
I am fully embracing this change and am really excited as it will give me more time to work on hatching plans with Lisa and Foodies Across the Pond. The Foodie Friends podcast numbers continue growing and we have met so many fantastic people. Thank you for the likes, Subscriptions and wonderful messages.
It also will give me (hopefully) more time to return to my passion of recipe development and the launch of our 2nd cookery book later this year.
On a practical note.:
I do have a lot of commercial kitchen equipment to sell - so if you know of anyone hunting or starting their own kitchen journey, please do feel free to point them in my direction.

Stock alert- wow where did they go? We literally are down to our last two jars of our Philpotts Chilli Jam. Thank you for loving it so much!
