And just like that, another school year is over 🥹

Swipe to see the start of the year…..when did my baby get so big!!!!

Today Alfie finishes school for the summer and I honestly don’t know where this year has gone. It feels like only five minutes ago that he was walking into his new classroom, and now another whole year of memories, friendships and growing has passed.

I’m so proud of everything he has achieved this year and of the confident, funny and kind little boy he is becoming.

Creative Rainbow Explorers is also taking a little pause, so it feels like the perfect time for both of us to slow down, enjoy some family time and make a few summer memories together.

Our final adventure before the summer break 🏴‍☠️🧜‍♀️

Yesterday, our little explorers sailed across Treasure Island, squelched through the pirate gloop swamp, discovered the spaghetti octopus cave and splashed in the mermaid lagoon.

Outside, they built ships at the Captain’s Playdough Shipyard, painted their own treasure maps, washed mermaid shells and experimented with our magical colour-changing ocean.

It was the perfect messy, magical way to finish our regular sessions for a couple of weeks.

📚✨ This week at Creative Rainbow Explorers we’re stepping into the magical world of Julia Donaldson! ✨📚

From brave dragons and magical witches to adventurous stick men and clever animals, we’ll be bringing some of our favourite stories to life through messy play, sensory exploration and lots of imagination.

Each tray has been carefully designed to encourage little ones to explore, create, investigate and, most importantly… have fun! There’ll be plenty of opportunities to scoop, pour, squish, mix and discover as we jump from one much-loved story to the next.

Do you remember pretending the floor was lava?

Giving every teddy a different voice?

Making adventures out of absolutely anything?

That imagination is exactly what childhood should be.

This week our Toy Box Adventure is packed with missions, rescues, dinosaur digs, water play and plenty of messy fun.

Watching them completely lose themselves in play is something I’ll never get tired of.

Because the best toys have never been the expensive ones…
They’re the ones that spark imagination. 💚

A Week in a Heatwave ☀️💛

What a week it’s been!
Thank you to every family who adapted with me this week, whether that meant swapping sessions, joining us in the morning, or trusting me to make the right call. I know the heat wasn’t easy for anyone, and I’m so grateful for your support and understanding.

Even in a heatwave, the children’s imaginations never stopped. There were giggles, splashes, muddy hands, curious minds and so many smiles. Watching them explore, create and make new friends is what it’s all about. 🩵

Now it’s time to recharge before we begin The Toy Box Adventure next week… and I can’t wait for you to see what’s in store! 🤠🚀

Another wonderful week of exploring, creating and getting messy together 🌿

This week the children have stomped through the jungle, searched for animals, splashed in water trays, created stories and followed their own ideas every step of the way.

Children don’t need instructions to play.

Give them a tray of spaghetti.
Add some animals.
Maybe a little water.

And suddenly you’ve got storytelling, problem solving, language development, imagination and confidence all happening at once.

That’s one of the reasons I love messy play so much.

What might look like “just playing” is actually children making sense of their world in the best way they know how.

And honestly? The laughter is pretty wonderful too 💚
