One of our staff members Emily is taking part in a 24 hour CPR marathon to raise money for Bath and Wiltshire Air Ambulance 🚑 This has been organised by the paramedic society at Gloucestershire University. Donations are crucial for charities like this so they can continue to provide the life saving care they provide for the community. Sharing the link so that anyone that can is able to support this charity, Emily and the rest of the student paramedics volunteering today to this !! 😊

Some of you have been asking where our assistant manager Michelle is. She is still with us and returning to the business this week. Michelle has been on compassionate leave after her husband David sadly and tragically passed away on Wednesday 29th April at the age of 54. Most of our customers won't know David, but he was an integral part of the Paddy and Bear family. When Paddy and Bear was merely a business idea, he went over our business plans, gave feedback, cheered us on and invested into the business, so that we could make Paddy and Bear a reality. He gave practical and financial support to take our business plan from a paper dream, to a living breathing family run business. He helped us move the horsebox into the Garden centre for our very first day of trading. And he supported Michelle as she flourished within the business and stepped up to assistant manager with us.

David was also stepdad to our managing director Mike, and Grandad to "The Bear" and the other children in the family (who many of you have seen at both our venues).

We would like to take this opportunity to send all our love to Michelle and Mike at this difficult time.

Thank you David for being such an integral part of Paddy and Bear's history. You will be missed and remembered.

We’re expecting some scorching sunshine this week, which means the Lido will be very busy! If you’re planning a visit, please read the following to help make your day as safe and enjoyable as possible:

🌞 Be sun smart
Please bring plenty of suncream, water, and protective clothing such as hats or light cover-ups. Stay hydrated - our café will be open as usual for cold drinks and snacks.

⏳ Expect queues
We will be fully booked for online ticket sales, so we’re expecting long queues at peak times. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee wait times, and there is no shade in the queueing area – please come prepared.

🤝🏻 Respect our team
Our staff are here to help you have a great day. Please treat them with respect – antisocial behaviour will not be tolerated.

🗑️ Keep it clean
Help us keep the Lido looking lovely by using the bins provided or taking your rubbish home with you.
