Today is the start of National Chip Week - and yes it is a thing!

So how do you have your chips?

Ketchup, Mayo, Brown Sauce or just Salt & Vinegar? Are you the exotic type and dunk your chips in Curry Sauce, or more classic, dunk in Gravy. What potatoes do you prefer? Should they be thin like fries, or thick like we do at Russell's. Skin on or Skin off, serve with scraps?

Who thought British Chips could have so many options. If we counted the number of chips sold in UK chippies per year, it comes to around 450 million portions per year, and we are proud to be part of this amazing British institution.

A big thank you must go to our amazing team at Russell's Fish & Chips, who do an amazing job, cooking close to 10,000 fish & chips since new owners took over in June 2025.

As the festive season sweeps across Broadway, we know that this time of year is a whirlwind of planning, excitement, and
perhaps a little stress for everyone—including our
guests!

We want to sincerely thank you for choosing to celebrate with us, and we ask for your compassionate support for all those working in hospitality and retail right now.

Imagine our dedicated team members, who are working
long, physically demanding shifts to ensure your experience is wonderful. They are working flat out, giving up their own holiday time when they would undoubtedly prefer to be socialising and resting with their families.

If you encounter a moment of delay - whether it’s getting seated exactly where you hoped, struggling to find a restaurant with capacity at the exact time you want, or perceiving the service to be slow during our busiest hours—please remember the sheer volume of guests we are striving to accommodate. Remember, too, that our teams are doing their best.

Our staff members deserve to be treated with the kindness, patience, and understanding that defines the 'season of goodwill.' They come to work to serve you, not to be the target of your frustration, abuse, or threats. We have been shocked and saddened over the past few weeks to hear of some of their experiences.

Thank you for helping us make this a respectful and joyful season for everyone.

Josh & Liam, part of our dream team, at Cheltenham Super Bowl. It's a good job they can cook Fish & Chips a lot better than they can knock ten pins over.

It's going to be a busy weekend, with Broadway Christmas Lights switching on Saturday 15th Nov. We love Christmas.
