I've just come back to Bessie's from a much-needed holiday with my partner and our son, and I wanted to share with you all 3 things I realised while I was away:
1. Bessie's does my favourite iced latte of anywhere I've tried. I've been desperate for one - mine's with hazelnut ;)
2. Naturally, it will be always be when I am completely uncontactable (i.e. at the top of a volcano 🌋) that the till system decides to go on the fritz ✌️
3. (And most importantly) I have been blessed to work with the most incredible team of thoughtful and supremely competent young women. As someone who likes to be at the heart of things, going away was always going to be stressful for me, but my team more than had it covered. For most of them, this is their first job, and it's a real privilege to watch them grow more confident and comfortable each day (talking to customers can be scary sometimes!). Anyway, mostly what I wanted to say was thank you to my team, thank you to everyone who walks out of our doors with a smile, and i am looking forward to being back tomorrow (iced latte in hand ☕️)
