Today was special… we celebrated more than just two years…!! We celebrated Tom and Bev, we celebrated good cake, good coffee, great company and beautiful music. Thank you ALL for building this community with your own precious bricks !!

Who knew running a small business would take over your entire life?! (Or maybe some people did warn 😂) Looking back this leap of faith was crazy… having never run a business let alone a cafe before!? And the cafe looks so different to even a year ago and surely will look different again in a year’s time! There have been lots of sacrifices and plenty of mistakes along the way… but we hope to have learnt from those. It’s so true that every day is a school day… 💙

It really means the world 🌍 💜 - Coincidentally our lovely regular Tom is also turning 96 and it’s the gorgeous Bev’s birthday when we are 2 so it’s a hat trick!! One of our incredible regulars is moving away (well, to Canterbury 😂 but far enough) so he came in today with a beautiful sculpture he had made for us… apparently this is one of four, there are three other local recipients. I told him to make more and we could sell them 😂… he told me they take hours! Thank you Duncan, this truly is a treasure I will always treasure 🩷
