A dream written down….

This weekend we went to work to prove that we are who we say we are!

Being invited to play on the big stage with the industry’s leading and best players is one thing, but to walk away being recognised as one of the best in the UK is absolutely incredible… and today, thousands more of you woke up knowing who we are, and that is simply unbelievable.

We put the work in to make this happen, but no one prepares you for being called to the stage. It was an emotional moment for me.

However, whilst I may be the face of the business, this achievement belongs to the team. Every member of our team plays a vital role in our success. They’re the ones on the front line every day, delivering the hospitality ( not service… huge difference, ) creating the experience and making our customers want to come back time and time again.

I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved together.

I also want to give a special mention to my wife, Cassie Lawrence . Running a business takes sacrifices from the whole family, and none of this would be possible without her support. From holding things together at home when the business demands more of my time, to standing beside me and supporting me this weekend, I’m incredibly grateful. Thank you for always believing in me and what we’re building.

I’m not often one to stop and celebrate success. I’m fully aware it takes years to build something and seconds to destroy it. I promise you all one thing: I will never stop caring about our customers and making sure you remain fans of the business.

After all, it’s you that makes this happen.

It’s funny how the universe works…

Exactly 6 years ago today, a sandwich changed my life.

I’d made lunch for my family and, like we all do sometimes, joked, “I could sell that.” But this time, someone told me to stop talking and actually do something about it. So I did… and with that, Please Sir! was born.

Fast forward 6 years to the day, and we’re about to embark on the biggest venture of our lives. To now be part of the community, representing in my hometown of Margate, is something I’m incredibly proud of.

It hasn’t been easy. Running a business takes everything from you — mentally, emotionally, financially. There are setbacks, frustrations, stress… and moments where you question everything.

Recently, someone asked me if it was really all worth it because I always seem stressed. Without hesitation, I smiled and said, “Absolutely.”

Because despite the pressure, despite the exhaustion, I get to build something I genuinely believe in.

This past year has been relentless — building while simultaneously pushing Please Sir! into its next chapter. It’s been one of the hardest years of our lives, but also one of the most rewarding.

Right now, we’re taking a moment to appreciate what we’ve built, enjoy the journey, and maybe start smiling again 😂

But trust me… the future is coming.

2026 is going to be a huge year for us, and I’ll never stop pushing for what’s next. I’ll just say this — nostalgia is a powerful thing… and Margate should be very excited for 2027, because something special is coming.

And for anyone who needs to hear this:

There is no “right time.”
There is no light or dark.
There’s only belief, action, and consistency.

Apply your mind… and BELIEVE!

You can be wherever you want to be.
