Malt of the Month🥃

This month our chosen malt is the Jura 18 Year Old, a rich and refined Island single malt, matured in American white oak ex-bourbon barrels and finished in Premier Grand Cru Classé red w**e barriques.

Expect rich Black Forest fruits, gentle smoke, dark chocolate and espresso, with warming notes of cinnamon and toffee!

Introducing Isle of Raasay Dùn Cana, a Hebridean single malt inspired by Dùn Cana, the island’s ancient volcanic peak🌋

Tasting Notes
🥃 Nose: Rich dried fruits, sultanas, vanilla toffee and roasted nuts.
🌊 Palate: peppery spice, sherry sweetness and gentle maritime salinity.
🔥 Finish: salted chocolate, aromatic wood smoke and oak.

Initially matured in American rye wh***ey casks, Dùn Cana is then finished in Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry quarter casks, creating a subtle sweetness while retaining Raasay’s signature balance of light peat and coastal character. Bottled at 52% ABV, with natural colour and no chill filtration, every dram is packed with flavour!

Great news, the Bothy is a lovely little place to meet friends and relax

📢 We have some news 📢

You may already have heard or you may have seen a recent post on a local Facebook agency page....

Unfortunately our landlord has decided that he will not be renewing our lease when it ends on November 30th this year 😢 and he has put the building up for sale.

😔 Obviously we are gutted that our time in this building is coming to an end. We have had an amazing time here and know that Broadford without The Coffee Bothy will not be the same.

We want to clarify a few things too:

✅️ The Coffee Bothy as a business is not for sale and we are hoping to move to other premises in the area when our lease ends. We want to continue as the friendliest coffee shop you know and love just in a different location.
