Last night’s dinner table with ✨
We had the absolute pleasure of attending one of their incredible community suppers in Bristol last night, and we’re still thinking about the incredible dishes served, the important conversations, and the amazing energy in the room.
For those who don’t know, is a youth-led charity doing revolutionary things right here in Bristol. ‘Mαζί’ means together in Greek, and that is exactly the spirit they bring. Founded in 2021 in response to the Free School Meal scandal, they’ve grown into a vital force—using the dinner table and the simple act of breaking bread to reduce isolation, build confidence, and make vulnerable young people feel cared for and extraordinary.
They support disadvantaged 16–25 year olds across the city, including care leavers, young asylum seekers, and youth recovering from homelessness or fleeing domestic violence.
What makes MAZI so special is that they don’t just provide food—they champion food justice and long-term independence:
High-Quality & Local: Unlike traditional food provisions, they buy all their ingredients, ensuring their members get the same nutrient-dense, high-quality food anyone else would enjoy. In peak season, at least 70% of their fresh produce is sourced from small-scale growers within a 20-mile radius (like Lush Greens and Five Acre Farm)!
aMAZIng Meal Kits: They deliver fresh, choice-led recipe kits to over 100 young people every week, helping them build skills and independence in the kitchen.
A Bridge to the Community: They provide food education and directly connect young people to employment pathways within Bristol’s thriving independent food scene.
If you can, please go give them a follow, look out for their community events at their Bedminster kitchen, or consider supporting their incredible work to fight food inequality!
A huge thank you to everyone who made the evening so brilliant
