Here’s our completely reasonable guide to making pizza at home using our new frozen dough balls.

Yes — this assumes you have a marble counter, dough trays, peels and a hand-built Neapolitan oven.
No — you don’t need any of that.

Our frozen dough balls are now quietly landing in farm shops, and we’ll be sharing proper home-kitchen methods very soon.

You demanded, we listened. Bristol’s most keenly awaited night of pizza is back. G I R O.

For those who aren’t in the know here is a little run down.

An evening of audacious adaptations of culinary classics & the stuff of nightmares for pizza purists. The chefs will incorporate ingredients that rarely enter Bertha’s or any pizzeria for that matter. The aim is for your table to try as many different pizzas as possible, so loosen your belt and bring a loud voice as you compete against other tables. We promise you’ll be waddling by the end.

Tickets £38, this includes entry to the event and all food. They have been know to sell out in under 48 hours so be quick.

Alanna joined us summer 2024 and somehow it instantly felt like she’d been part of Bertha’s forever. Always smiling & giving a warm welcome, she calmly gets things done with zero drama.

She’s heading off to explore Events Hospitality and while we’ll miss her hugely, we’re excited to see what’s next. Thanks for everything Alanna - you’ve left your mark here. Wishing you all the very best ❤️🍕

After 2½ years of graft, growth and absolute wizardry with dough, our Head Chef Jack has headed off to London for his next adventure.

An absolute legend who grew into the head-chef role with quiet confidence, big ideas and an even bigger heart.

King of the bromances, master of the pizza peel, and a man who could talk fermentation and sustainability long after service ended.

We couldn’t be prouder — or more grateful.

It's almost that time of year again! Sorry to any of you folk who think October is too early for any Christmas shenanigans. But it seems worth reminding you all to book in over this most festive of seasons. Big parties are more than welcome!! Please email [email protected] with any inquiries, just a reminder we can also make Friday and Thursday lunches work with larger bookings where we can.
