As you have probably already heard, for the last 6 months we have been spreading the word that we are sadly closing The Toast Room café.
Since opening in 2017, it has been an amazing journey but the spiralling costs that we encountered over this past year forced us to pause the process of renewing our lease…Unfortunately these steep increases have now also made the business unviable in its current form…
Our priorities have also shifted slightly since our daughter Fran came along 2 years ago 🥰 Our current focus is now buying our first home as this has been put on the back burner for quite a few years! So after a lot of discussion back and forth we finally came to the difficult decision to not renew & reinvest but to close the cafe for pastures new…
I had been meaning to put up a post much earlier than this, but the reality of diving into a completely new job and adapting to life no longer being self employed has resulted in an extremely busy start to the new year!
Our last day open to the public will be this Sunday 17th March and so please pop in if you can to celebrate our last weekend trading!
It goes without saying we couldn’t have done any of it without our wonderful customers, and want to thank you all for your support over the years and the many kind words we’ve received since we announced that the cafe is closing.
