Life in hospitality right now feels completely untenable. 💔

I’ve already lost one business, and it’s heartbreaking to watch something you’ve poured everything into become impossible to sustain. The recent rises in National Insurance and the National Minimum Wage, on top of the crushing weight of VAT, mean small hospitality businesses are being pushed beyond what’s viable.

This sector runs on passion, hard work, and razor-thin margins — but no amount of dedication can make the numbers add up when costs keep rising and support keeps falling short.

Hospitality isn’t just an industry — it’s community, jobs, livelihoods, and the places where people come together. Without meaningful change, more small businesses like mine will disappear.

If you believe independent hospitality deserves a future, please take a moment to sign and share this petition. Your support genuinely matters.

We have 26k followers on here and if each one of you take 30 seconds out of your day to sign it and share the post it could make the world of difference 🥺🙏

Thank you for your time reading this

We call on Government to allow hospitality businesses to reclaim 10% of their food costs against their quarterly VAT bill. We believe this would help businesses remain viable, protect jobs & sustain local communities, and that this could support thousands of independent businesses.
