📢 Business Closure Announcement:
Dear customers,
I have made the difficult decision to cease trading at the end of next month 💔
Over the last 7.5 years, I have been lucky enough to host supper clubs; cater for weddings and parties; trade at festivals, breweries and Christmas markets; design and implement a takeaway delivery service during lockdown; run a restaurant pop-up, cater so many yoga retreats that I started a whole other business to focus on this, and too many more to list. For the last couple of years, I have tried to slow down, simplify things and focus on what I love: creating vegan, home cooked food and serving it from the streets of Bristol, incorporating as much organic and homegrown produce as possible. Unfortunately, in the current climate, this model is just not sustainable, and for many personal reasons in addition to this, it's time to move on to other things.
Special shout-out to my amazing partner Richard who helped create and run the business with me between 2017-2019. When we started, there were only a couple of other vegan street food traders in the whole of Bristol (unless I'm mistaken only The Spotless Leopard and Dark Matters were operating, both trailblazing women 😍) and hardly any vegan cafes/restaurants at all. Things have changed hugely, and I've loved being part of this growing community of vegan businesses that showcase just how delicious plant-based food can be (which is so vital given how big a role our diets play in addressing the climate crisis 🌍)
Thank you so much to all the other food traders in the scene (such a great gang to be part of), my amazing suppliers (notably The Community Farm, Essential Trading Co-op and Proper Bread), and most importantly, my customers, especially those of you who have supported me from day 1 (some of you are so loyal!)
Maybe in the future Kabala Kitchen will come back in some form or another but for now, the final trading dates are as follows:
Harbourside Market: September 28, 29. October 6, 13, 20, 26.
Depending on demand, I may do a limited run of home deliveries in the run up to Christmas (wellingtons, frozen ready meals etc.)
