In our new premises on 52 Stapelton Road, we are a female run (or co-run) restaurant who is the main chef.

Both the owners are from a village just outside Luxor in Egypt, going back generations. These factors, together with the strength of the Egyptian culinary tradition, are key to the quality and authenticity of our food.

Our customers tell us we are the only Egyptian restaurant within about 100 miles. Moreover, we are one of an extremely small number of restaurants in Britain run by an authentic female Egyptian chef.

We plan to play to these strengths over the coming months and years as we truly get going. In the meantime, if you enjoy our food, please tell others about it, and perhaps leave a review on Google Maps.

There will be decisions to make over the next few weeks and months as we refine our menu before expanding it again. Please help us decide, by coming in and finding your own favourite dishes.

The most likely subsequent expansions to our menu will be into Arabic fish dishes, Saudi cuisine, Yemeni cuisine and English breakfasts. If you know any, preferably female, chefs who are specialists in these areas, we would love to collect contacts.

In the meantime, do explore our present menu:
