The Hole in the Wall is a dog-friendly city centre pub in the heart of Bristol, boasting a sprawling beer garden with stunning views of the river and Bristol’s iconic landmarks – making everything from after-work drinks to pub work meetings feel more stylish. Our pub is packed with history, with a past landlord said to have inspired the 'Long John Silver' character in Robert Louis Stevenson's book, ‘Treasure Island’. Plus, our intriguing name comes from a 'spy hole' that patrons used to watch out for the 'Press Gang', a group employed to force men into the army or navy, giving drinkers time to escape through our cellar. These days, you’re more likely to spy delicious menus filled with seasonal pub dishes and tempting drinks, crafted to make you want to spend your next big event in our stunning private hire space, perfect for everything from birthdays to wedding meals.
