Bravas, a new, exciting and authentic tapas bar located just off Whiteladies road on Cotham Hill. We are an independent, small, family run tapas bar, with other thriving independent businesses near by. We love food, eating it, cooking it, talking about it and sharing it with people. Hence our long term aim is to be the proud patrons of a string of delightful and different eateries. Imo is a chef,

having learned her trade working all over Bristol in what she considers some the best kitchens in the city; Primrose Cafe, Bordeaux Quay, Ocean, Culinaria, The Lido and Garden Cafe at The Holborn Museum in Bath . Kieran is an events organiser for his family business and a well seasoned host. He has eaten and drunk his way around most of the bars and restaurants of Bristol, including a stint behind the bar at the Albion. Last year we carried out a research trip around Spain. we returned feeling more inspired and passionate about Spanish food than ever. We decided to run a supper club from our house in Hotwells, seating 20 covers a time. It was a real success and a great way for us to test the waters in terms of spanish cooking and hospitality. The ingredients and the simplicity is exactly what attracted us to Spanish food; it's well sourced, well cooked & well tasty! We intend to take some of the best ingredients the West has to offer and complement them with some Spanish style. It’s not just about the food in Spain it’s the whole culture of eating. I remember from a young age enjoying tapas in back street bars. The food’s not out of sight, hidden away in a kitchen, it’s right there in front of you. It’s like getting to see all the chocolate bars in a sweet shop unwrapped... But better still you get to try them all. There’s no such thing as food envy, you share with friends and family picking and ordering as you go.
