Radek's Chocolate began early 2008 in Bristol, the same town where the first ever chocolate bar was made! Radek’s passion for chocolate was born a couple of years before when he discovered cacao beans. At the time he was cooking at award winning vegetarian restaurant Cafe Maitreya. Here he was exploring fine cuisine, which now translates in his sophisticated creations. Our chocolate is made from c
acao bean paste to bar. We begin by hand-chiselling the cacao paste & cacao butter blocks. The blend is then slowly refined under a granite stone wheel for over 24 hours while we slowly incorporate the other ingredients. The finished chocolate is poured into bar shaped moulds, cooled, set, and then wrapped. It has always been greatly important that all the ingredients used are fair trade, organic wherever possible, and carefully chosen from only reliable suppliers. Radek, with his passion for travel, loves to source the best ingredients direct from the producers, for example the finest chestnut flour from the hills in Dordogne which is freshly milled to order. With this in mind, we feel it’s important to communicate our dedication towards the cause. So, Radek’s Chocolate is now officially organic and certified by OF&G. We are proud to participate in a global movement towards a happier planet. From beginning to end, each product is treated with utmost love and care, creating unique artisan, handmade chocolate treasures, that will indulge your senses and benefit your body!
