Hi guys, just an update, we've hit a snag with plumbing works so are a tad delayed but are aiming to reopen on Friday, we'll update again tomorrow!

Hello everyone, we'd like to formally introduce ourselves as the new landlords of the beautiful The Kingsdown Vaults. We are a small independent pub company (the Kingsdown is our 4th site) who are lifelong friends and longterm hospitality workers. We're really passionate about breathing new life into old pubs and we're super excited to get to work on The Kingsdown and meeting you all!
In the short term, we're currently doing a refresh of the pub inside and work on a big face-lift for the front will begin over the weekend. We will be looking to open "softly" around Thursday next week before having a full launch party towards the end of October which of course we would love to see you all at!
In the long term, we'd like to reassure you all that the old values of this lovely boozer are at the forefront of our vision; live music, comedy, real ale, a fantastic w**e & cocktail list and amazing customer service will be the backbone of what we do.
We recognise that this pub is a community and we really hope we can become a big part of that.

So, it’s no secret, but it’s with a heavy heart that Guerrilla Pubs will be leaving the KDV today.

We moved in during the Covid lockdown and have had some incredible times along the way.

We couldn’t leave without saying a massive thank you to all the friends and neighbours who have frequented the pub over the last few years. In particular letters of support during the licensing 'review' were truly heartwarming and meant so much to us.

We’re handing over to a great team with a fantastic track record, and we’re sure they’ll have some exciting things in store for the pub.

Join us for a fantastic evening with Piratitude!

You can expect a unique mix of folk standards, original material, affectionate reinventions of classic tunes, shanties, and singalong favourites, all delivered with trademark energy, humour, stagecraft, and bags of audience participation and antics. And all in full pirate costume, naturally.

Start time is 8:30 pm - Saturday 12th of Sept!

Entry is free but please tip the band if you can!
