😱🤯😭 LAST DAY TODAY 😱🤯😭

Dear friends o’ Milk Teeth, I’m making the call to close permanently from 14:00 today, as it’s like working in a ghost town, and I don’t do very well in ghost towns 👻 So come on down today to say bye or forever hold your peace 😉

It’s been quite the journey. While I haven’t achieved everything I set out to do - not even close - it has provided me with opportunities to do good things that I would never have imagined were there. It’s moulded me for good, and I hope it’s helped some people live a little better, whatever the circumstances. That’s what I’m all about.

I’m not moving away, so will still be seen around and about, so say hi if you see me, won’t you? I’ll also be pursuing new coffee-related adventures, so if you’re interested in what I get up to next, follow my other coffee page: ☕️

But for now, so long and thanks for the memories 👋🏻 ♥️

Hi friends 🤗 The time has come to confirm in public the rumours that have been flying around (started by me 🤷) that Milk Teeth will indeed be closing at the end of January.

I won’t say much about it here (although I could, and almost did) because I suspect I could very easily over-egg the pudding. But I will say it’s ; no-one’s forcing me out due to being suddenly thrust into poverty by the deadly virus. Rather, this past year has given me a lot of clarity of vision, and I’m looking ahead to an exciting light shining on the horizon, which is sadly incompatible with owning and running a coffee shop. Feel free to come prize more information out of me in person if you’d like 😉

I’ve enjoyed the last four years very much, though it has definitely been very hard at times (for example, kneeling in a flooded kitchen while cupboards literally disintegrate around me). What I have loved most about the journey has been the people: the staff I’ve been honoured to employ and work alongside, and the customers who have made my days colourful and wonderful and challenging and revitalising and lovely. Some of you guys have been coming here since day one, and I still haven’t managed to figure out why (but I suspect it may be the hash I put in your coffee). Anyway, I feel mightily blessed to have been on this journey and to have met all of you 🥰 I really mean that.

Practically, this means I only have two (maybe three) weeks left of trading before I clear out my locker, starting tomorrow (Monday 4th). Come see me, please. I really want to see you. Let me make you your last Milk Teeth coffee of all time. Maybe buy some of my crap I have to shift (y’know, for old times’ sake). But definitely come and say bye 😭 I’m not moving out of Bristol, so chances are you’ll catch me at some other coffee joint before long, shading my eyes and trying not to be recognised as I sip my oat flat white like a massive celeb. But for now, come and help me see out the last couple of weeks in style.

Love you all!
 ♥️ Josh

Alright folks, this is where it's at: I'm going to be closed for the next little while until this lockdown has sorted itself out 😷 After that, I shall hopefully return to see out the rest of 2020 in suitably tinselly style 🥳🍾🎉🎊 Until then, I wish you all a merry lockdown, and hope you'll all be able to stay strong and stay kind 🤗 💪 🥰 Lots of love to you all ♥️♥️♥️ Josh

CLOSED FOR THE REST OF THE WEEK 😬

Apologies for the somewhat vague post, but due to a variety of factors, staying open in this weird hash of a Lockdown 2.0 has become - shall we say - 'unviable' for me. We're all OK, I just need some time out to regroup. So for now, I'm closing for the rest of this week to get my head right. Once the weekend's over, I'll make a call about the rest of lockdown.

This year has been a funny old animal, and lots of changes have occurred unexpectedly as well as been made intentionally. I'm sure you can all relate when I say there have been positive and negative fruits of this whole thing. While I take time to deal with some of the questionable ones that have come to the surface in my own life, may I recommend that you all, as always, take care of yourselves and each other.

Love you all ♥️♥️ Josh

COVID TEST RESULT: NEGATIVE 🤗

An earlier than expected test result (props, NHS 👊) means I'll be back making coffee from later this morning, probably about 10ish. Come by for your fix! Takeaway only at the moment, but hey, at least we can all stay tastefully caffeinated 😉☕️☕️☕️☕️☕️☕️ See you soon!! ♥️

I regret to inform y'all that we'll be in isolation for a while longer as the first covid test didn't go well 😑 We've done another one this morning, but it'll be a few days till we get the result from that.

So as it stands, we'll probably be closed Mon and Tues at the very least 😭 I'll keep posting as we get more info!

Stay uninfected, and let's get through this lockdown in one piece pls 🙏 ♥️
