WHAT'S ON THIS WEEK: 17TH – 23RD AUGUST
Folk harmonies, Latin rhythms, old-school R&B, gypsy circus chaos and global dancefloor sounds...
Here's what's coming up:
MON 17 — Heartwood Chorus
One of the UK's finest folk choirs brings spellbinding arrangements of traditional songs and modern folk favourites. Warm, welcoming and beautifully powerful, expect an evening of singing without the "posh choir stuff."
TUE 18 — Canteen Latin Descarga Sessions
Our monthly celebration of Afro-Cuban grooves, Latin jazz and salsa returns. Led by Jim Blomfield and Jon Clark, the second half opens into a true Cuban-style descarga (jam session). Come to dance, play or simply soak up the rhythm.
WED 19 — Crawfish
Classic jump blues, old-school R&B and early rock 'n' roll from one of Bristol's finest blues outfits. Expect infectious grooves, timeless tunes and plenty of swing.
THU 20 — Blackberry Wood
Canadian gypsy circus folk at its wildest! Equal parts carnival, cabaret and dance party, Blackberry Wood deliver high-energy performances packed with storytelling, stomping rhythms and outrageous fun.
FRI 21 — Ask My Bull
A blistering fusion of punk, drum & bass and jazz from Manchester's genre-defying trio. Heavy grooves, experimental sounds and infectious energy.
SAT 22 — Pcha
Traditional Malian balafon meets amapiano, afrobeats and electronic dance music. Joined by Bristol's DJ Joeti, Pcha's exhilarating live show is joyful, high-energy and impossible to stand still to.
SUN 23 — Isaac Neilson
Catch indie singer-songwriter Isaac Neilson as part of his incredible challenge to perform one gig every day for a year. Honest songwriting, acoustic warmth and a celebration of the UK's grassroots music scene.
Live music starts at 8:30PM Mon–Thurs.
Free entry before 9:30PM on Fri & Sat, £6 after.
