The weekend starts now!🍺

Whether its the beginning of the summer holidays or simply the end of another week, you deserve a pint. Preferably a cold one sat on the tranquil deck at Mud Dock.

From Butcombe pale ales to Bristol Beer Factory lager, there’s a pint for every person. Maybe it’s a Ashton Press cider for a proper West Country choice. Or even a 0.5% clear head IPA for the taste (and a clear head). We don’t judge; we’ll just pour one more.

Sustainably sourced, local beef burgers anyone?

We don’t know about you, but at Mud Dock we don’t want to compromise on food quality, or sustainability. That’s why we try to source as locally as possible, with all our beef coming from Bakers of Nailsea, a family-owned butchery that has been running for over 100 years!

Their beef comes from their uncle Danny Baker, who raises his cattle over on the green fields of Battens Farm. Bakers then leave the beef to dry-age on the bone for 21 days, their secret to producing the best quality and most delicious steaks and burgers every single time.

One of our Mud Dock team is taking part in a massive rowing race this weekend 🚣🏻‍♀️

38 Brits, 60 kilometres, and 3 traditional Finnish Church Boats …all for the Sulkava Great Rowing Race, held at Lake Saimaa in Finland!

Bev, one of the owners, is undertaking this adventurous challenge. But how’s training been for someone more comfortable on a bike than behind the oars? Here’s what she has to say in her own words:

“Since November I've been training for a 60km church boat row in Finland... despite having absolutely zero rowing experience!
The journey so far? Blisters, aching muscles, tired arms, 89 hours spent rowing 900+ km on an erg at my local leisure centre, and plenty of weight training thrown in for good measure.
I'm normally much happier on two wheels - I can't wait to get back on my bike. But first... there's 60km to row this Saturday.
I'm taking on this challenge to raise money for two fantastic charities: Ocean Conservation Trust and Re-engage.
If you'd like to sponsor my suffering (or, more importantly, support two brilliant causes), I'd be incredibly grateful.”
