Bristol’s Best £5 Lunch!? 🚀🍕✨ I think I’ve found it! 😋 If you’ve followed for a while you’ll know there’s one thing I Iove as much as pizza… a deal, and this one will take some beating 💪 ( )
The Pizza Rocket are back on the Bristol street food scene with a bang - after a year off to focus on Can Can Pizza Bristol and private bookings - now serving up the Neapolitan classic, the “Pizza Portafoglio”, for only £5!
Dating back to the 1700’s, this ‘wallet pizza’ is essentially a smaller, folded pizza which is easy to hold and eat! The Margherita version is £5 (as opposed to a Marg pizza which is £11). Considering you’re still getting the same incredible Neapolitan style dough, homemade Italian tomato sauce and Fior de Latte Mozarella from Brue Valley Farm in Glastonbury etc, I think this is incredible value 🔥
Want to ‘pimp’ your Portafoglio? No problem. Additional toppings are £1 each and you can have the regular menu portafoglio stylee and still enjoy great value. For example the Rockin Parma portafoglio is £8 vs £13 for the pizza version. They tasted the same (delicious) and size difference to me was negligible, definitely more than enough for lunch!
I’ve not been to Napoli myself (it’s on my list!), but Mr E.E and the teens have, and they tried the portafoglio whilst there and gave lovely Phil the boss man top marks for his take on it 🇮🇹 We also tried out the pizzas just for good measure and now I’m desperate for a trip to Can Can Pizza, can’t believe I’ve not been yet! 🤦🏼♀️ If you’re a Can Can fan you’ll be pleased to hear the Pizza Rocket stall has two (of their 8 🤯) famous dips available - the garlic and herb and the Parmesan. Personally I’m all about the garlic but the Parmesan packs a punch too! And they’re only a quid each 🎉
If you’d like to catch the Pizza Rocket out and about, you can find Phil and his portfoglios at the this month on the following dates:
Sunday 15th & 22nd
Weds 18th
Friday 27th
Saturday 28th
