Hi all, thank you for all your well wishes, what a lovely community we have!

Just a little update, Mark was able to go home the same day with "only" 7 broken ribs and a shedload of bruising. He has strong painkillers and is being well looked after. It's truly amazing his injuries weren't so much worse.

Thank you to everyone who has reached out it really means the world to us. Rest assured Ruby Jeans is still up and running in the capable hands of our staff. Mark will be back up and running as soon as he can but it may be a little while.

For those wondering about the driver of the car, they were spoken to by police immediately afterwards, their car was seized by police (I believe) and there is an ongoing investigation which will hopefully lead to the removal of their license/a driving ban or similar. It's important to note that there was no malice or intent involved and whilst there will be appropriate consequences, there is no need for a witch hunt. It was a very reckless mistake but they were incredibly remorseful and they were lucky they didn't cause any more damage. It's only human to want to seek justice but let's leave that to the professionals.

Hi everyone, some of you may have heard about the accident on St Mary's road this morning. Mark was hit and run over by a car after doing the school run and it resulted in quite a dramatic scene with 3 people injured to varying degrees but Mark being the worst off. He was taken to Southmead hospital by ambulance and we are still here waiting for a drs review.

Luckily he seems to have been very lucky with no apparent major injuries (that we know of) but is feeling very battered and bruised. We aren't sure yet what the plan is but will update you when we know more.

Ruby Jeans is being well looked after by our excellent staff so please do still come along for your coffees, brunch and curries!

Thanks to everyone who has helped us today especially those who helped Mark immediately after it happened, what a fantastic community we have here in Shire ❤️
