Hi Everyone!!

We just wanted to reach out to our amazingly supportive and loyal customers and thank them again for their continued support and to ask for a little favour!

Last year we won best fish and chips in brighton & hove with The Argus’ Food and drink awards. This year, we’ve been Nominated for the BRAVO awards (Brighton Restaurant Awards Vote Online) which is also one of the biggest awards in the city.

Fish and chip shops are facing an incredibly tough outlook with the price of fish/potatoes/gas & electricity skyrocketing and estimates of at least 1 in 3 fish and chip shops going out of business this year. The only thing keeping family owned shops like us going is the support of our amazing customers and community.

Athena B is an award winning Fish & Chip Shop, established in 1982 and recently voted #1 Fish & Chips in Brighton & Hove for the 2021 Food & Drink Awards.

We are looking for someone hardworking and enthusiastic to help prepare food before service, carefully cook and prepare each dish to order, and help the team clean down at the end of the night. Frying experience is preferred but we will train the right person so long as they have the ability to handle multitasking and a can-do attitude!

This position also has room for growth and earning potential with the potential to take on a management role.
