11 years by the sea 🌊
Today we’re celebrating The Salt Room turning 11 - and what a journey it’s been. From day one, we set out to create a true fish restaurant by the coast. Whole fish over fire, chalkboards filled with the day’s catch, seafood treated simply and cooked properly. The yin to The Coal Shed’s meat-led yang.
Now, as we mark our 11th birthday, we’re stepping into a new chapter. A refreshed space that brings the terrace indoors, so those big sea views and the West Pier backdrop can be enjoyed whatever the weather. It’s not just a refurb - it’s a reintroduction. The same spirit, the same focus on beautiful seafood (and a few quality meats and vibrant vegetarian dishes too), just with a new look and feel.
To everyone who’s dined with us, celebrated with us, and watched the waves with us over the years - thank you. We can’t wait to welcome you back and start the next chapter together.
