A little bit of Italy, coming to the Lanes.

On Thursday 17th September we're hosting an Italian Night with - five courses built around our chef Yuri's Italian roots, each paired with a wine chosen to match.

Matteo from Passione Vino, who supply our Italian wines, will be with us on the night to talk you through the bottles and why each one belongs with its dish. From confit mackerel bruschetta to a mascarpone caprese to finish, with a Lambrusco, a Sicilian Catarratto and a Vin Santo along the way. £85 per person, wines included, 7pm onwards.

Our buttermilk pannacotta comes with raspberry coulis, basil and a dusting of toasted korarima - a warm, aromatic spice a little like cardamom, with a gentle citrus and smoke to it.

Delicate, not too sweet, and a lovely way to finish.

What better way to celebrate National Oyster Day than with some award-winning oysters?

The Richard Haward's Oysters family have been growing oysters out on Mersea Island for eight generations, so they know what they're doing.

Their Wild Mersea rock oysters have just earned a Great Taste award for 2026, and you'll find them served at our bar.

Well worth ordering half a dozen next time you're in!
