Something sparkling, minus the alcohol.

Wild Idol is made for those moments when you fancy a proper glass of fizz, but not the booze. Naturally alcohol-free from the start, it is made from a carefully chosen blend of grapes, with fine bubbles and a crisp, fresh finish.

All the ceremony of popping a bottle, with a clearer head tomorrow. šŸ„‚

Thereā€™s always an abundance of freshly made dishes coming out of our Pantry, all created by the brilliant Carla.

Hopefully you will indulge myself & my wonderful sons a moment to express our gratitude - towards our wonderful Kemptown neighbours and our Brighton and Hove neighbours - plus our fellow business folks down this magical enclave of ours.

The outpouring of support around our retrospective planning applications was breathtaking - I promise we have read every single message and email - apologies for not having got back to everyone - we took a stance around waiting for it all to be over with.

Thank you šŸ™ the lovely folks who took to the ā€˜battleā€™ on our behalf - we have been left feeling a little shocked by the unnecessary and at times nefarious attacks on our little refrectory business - we donā€™t expect everyone to like our canopies - why would we - but what a sad state of affairs if this now reborn and glorious building,to which we have put such good use,showered with such tender care,was allowed once again to sit as suggested in ruins - just as it had been for over 70 years!

The canopies have offered much needed shade this year - yes an umbrella can offer some shade to the person sat static whilst enjoying our menu offerings - but what about the person serving - they deserve shade too!

Huge thanks to the guys behind Lewis and Co Planning who put in the remarkable work on our application - Bravo

We aim to move forward - onwards and upwards as they say - but our Thanks is heartfelt - our amazing team have had some brilliant chats with you all - if nothing else - the whole gang understand chapter and verse what retrospective planning means - weā€™ve all been around a learning curve - Karl Ashley Sebastian šŸ™

A little appreciation for our brilliant team, they are incredible.

From the first coffee of the morning to the last table of the evening, they put so much into Reading Room. Early starts, busy services and a lot of hard work behind the scenes. They make this place what it is, and weā€™re very lucky to have every single one of them.

The Pantry Kitchen in full swing. Carla and Karen, our Pantry Gals, cook fresh every day, with new specials on the go and every dish made to order.
The menu is always changing, built around the best fresh produce available that day.

Nothing hangs around for long. SOLD OUT is a regular sight on the pantry black board.
