Raj (also known as Carol) and King's first fish and chip shop was 'Carol's Fish Bar' on Coventry Street in Stourbridge Town Centre. They decided to sell Carol's and opened up 'Hungry Hill's Chippy' on Junction Road. They've built a strong reputation over the past 20 years, cooking only fresh fish and fresh potatoes. Customers love everything from the home made curry sauce to a chip butty.

A message of thanks from Raj and King – it’s a long read...

The past 36 years have had some tough moments but it’s been the support of our customers that kept us going, and making the decision to stop a tough one. 😍
Our customers became our friends. We made new friends along the way and we watched children grow into adults and then bring their children to enjoy our food. We did not expect to receive so many cards, flowers, gifts and heartfelt messages so we must have done something right all these years 🥰
Thank you to our team at MSF and for putting up with us - you ladies are the best!
We will really miss doing what we love, miss you and miss serving our community. Whether you worked with us or ate from us, words cannot express how much we appreciate your loyalty and friendship.

WARNING, you may want to be seated before reading this. MSF can confirm that Raj and King are RETIRING!

A fish and chip career that began in Carol’s Fish Bar in 1985, they have finally decided to wrap it up and batter down. Official handover should be early next week so this should be their LAST WEEKEND!

You have all been true friends over the years so we hope you're able to pop in and wish them both well.

We'll keep you updated on the progress and they will of course be around for a few weeks, passing on their trade secrets to the new owners 🙌

Sadly MSF was broken into last night. Thankfully no major damage and we are open as usual. They did take the Uber tablet...
