The joy of pouring a large glass of red and nursing it by an open fire… it’s just one of the things we love about autumn here on the farm. If you’re staying soon, perhaps we can tempt you into The Cart Shed (which is feeling super cosy right now) for a tipple of your choice and a loooooong lunch or dinner? The threads are fresh - and the new cologne is on (metaphorically speaking).

The Outbuildings brand has been spruced up and we’re currently rolling out our new look into the world… so you may see some changes both here on the farm and online as our brand takes root.

Our new look is anchored around a simple strapline that captures how we want you to feel as a guest: Feel Wildly At Home.

If you’re one of our most ardent and loyal fans, you can subscribe to The Good Times - it’s our occasional inbox dispatch from here on the farm (🔗 in bio).

Earlier this year, our bar and dining space, The Cart Shed, received a beautiful new addition, a stunning Glass House extension with fully opening walls, designed to blur the lines between indoors and out for the perfect al fresco setting.

Designed by us and beautifully crafted by BOMEN Architectural Glazing , the space is finished with handmade tables and cushions made in-house, alongside bespoke outdoor chairs handcrafted locally by Arc Edge Metalwork .

This exciting transformation has allowed us to welcome even more local and non-resident guests to experience Outbuildings, and we’ve loved seeing so many new and familiar faces join us throughout the summer for lunch and our Chef’s Selection Menu.

The Cart Shed is a space created with adults in mind, somewhere to reconnect with friends and loved ones, enjoy uninterrupted conversation, and simply switch off for a while Leave the chicken nuggets at home and let your hair down with good music and great food.

Open 7 days a week, all year round, we’ll see you soon ;)

Espresso Martini made by our wonderful Cart Shed Manager Jay 🍸

Built with Black Cow Vodka, the world’s first pure milk vodka, crafted in West Dorset from the whey left over from cheesemaking. It is smooth and creamy with subtle notes of vanilla. Paired with Goose & Badger, a micro coffee roastery in Bridport, and Conker Cold Brew Coffee Liqueur from Dorset distillery Conker Spirit.

This rich espresso martini cocktail combines bold artisan coffee, smooth Dorset vodka, and cold brew coffee liqueur for a perfectly balanced coffee cocktail. Fresh cocktail making and mixology at its best.

Traditionally served as a classic after dinner drink, but just as popular as a pre-drink essential or a late night pick me up.

The Hedgerow Mojito, an Outbuildings staple for a reason🌿

Made with homemade farm sloe gin, blueberries, raspberries, mint, and lime, then poured over ice for that fresh, sweet-but-zingy hit.

Not drinking? It’s also available non-alcoholic. Same hedgerow flavour, same summer feeling.
