This is my version of Mapo tofu, Chinese dish. When I was 17, I was working at back kitchen, sorting plates after the dinner, horrible job, super busy , hated, but became friends with 30 odd chefs at famous Chinese restaurant in middle of Tokyo. Learnt a bit, unreal but I never come across better than this restaurant, even I didn't find better one in Hong Kong. Half of chefs were Chinese, perhaps best restaurant at the time...

Last night, our son and his friends stayed and cooked us special middle eastern cousins. Deep fried white fish, rice with deep fried onions, pebbles and so on. Absolutely delicious. If everybody loves food and music, this world is much better place.

First cycle ride after Xmas and New year break today, cooked Tofu and vegetables stir fry, still love cooking and eating. Sauce was mix of Teri sauce, miso, gochujan, and a half mug of one cube veg stock, absolutely delicious. Happy 2026!
