Bridlington Death Cafe

Due to unforseen circumstances, neither Gemma nor Lyn can continue with running Bridlington Death Cafe (until around July next year). Both have commitments that have to take priority, for now.
We have thoroughly enjoyed spending time discussing Death and dying with you, and are looking forward to providing this service, when we can.

In the meantime, if anyone would like to take over, please let us know, otherwise we will leave this page open for anyone who wants to discuss anything Death related.

Thanks to everyone who came and gave it a go, and see you all next year.

Do you want to be buried, cremated, buried at sea?

I always wanted to go back to the ground as naturally as possible, in a shroud, but since having children, how they imagine me decomposing has changed that.
Now, I want to find out more about having a water burial, more eco-friendly than cremation, apparently.
I'm also intrigued by human composting, available in the USA.

What would you like? Or dislike? And why?

We are at Crown Community Centre now.
What a wonderful, welcoming space it is for our monthly death cafe.
Join us on the last Wednesday every month to discuss death and dying in whatever capacity you desire.

Sadly, the next Bridlington Death Cafe at Crown Community Centre on Wednesday 31st July will be cancelled. Neither Gemma nor Lyn are available to (wo)man it.

We are no longer doing the one at North Library, because so few people were able to use it, so we are now prioritising the one at Crown Buildings, going forward.
Therefore, the next one will be on the 28th August at Crown Community Centre 1000-1200, then they will continue on the last Wednesday of every month.

Bridlington Death Cafe will not be on at the Bridlington North Library on Thursday 11th July, as both of us are unavailable to host it.

The Crown Community Centre one will be on 31 July at 1000-1200
