Hi everyone
Just letting you all know we are back open this Friday
We have all had a break and feeling fresh as a daisy ‘ thank you for the support 🙂
Christmas season is fast approaching us ‘ we are serving our festive menu from end November until end of Dec ( early Jan if requested ) freshly cooked foods at low prices ‘ prepared by our chefs ‘ pre order is needed at least 48 hours before with a 10.00 deposit
Christmas Day we are closing this year with the family wanting a family Christmas Day ‘ we are open next Christmas Day 2027

Off on my break now but we will be back open on 16th October all nice and fresh and ready to go !

We are absolutely delighted to share some very special news… The Malt Shovel Inn has been included in the CAMRA Good B**r Guide 2027! 🎉🍺

And this one feels extra special because 2027 marks our first year in the Guide! 🥹❤️

As a small, family-run country pub, being recognised in the Good B**r Guide is something we’re incredibly proud of. From the very beginning, we’ve always wanted The Malt Shovel to be a place where people can enjoy a great pint, good food and a genuinely warm welcome — whether you’re a regular, visiting for the first time, staying with us, or simply passing through. 🏡🍻

A huge thank you to all of our wonderful customers, our loyal regulars and everyone who has supported us along the way. And of course, a massive thank you to our amazing team who work so hard behind the scenes every day. ❤️

This is our first year in the Guide, and we couldn’t be prouder to see The Malt Shovel Inn recognised alongside so many fantastic pubs across the UK.

To all our customers just a little reminder ‘
We will be closed from 4th Oct and re-open 16 th Oct at 12pm
3rd October we are celebrating Julie’s 50th birthday all are welcome to attend with live performance / disco and a bit of karaoke ‘ we also have free buffet for all!
We will be starting at 6pm onwards and hope you can join us in celebrating!
We will not have food service on for the 3 rd of October but we offer free food if your joining us 🙂 lunch service will be served in this day from 12-2.30 pm only !
