Crusaders CC are taking over for a massive party night to kick off the Carnival Concerts, Saturday 3rd October from 5pm!

And yes, you heard right… we've loaned out our very own Black Sunday legend DJ Richie for the night 🎧🔥 Don't worry, we're only lending him!

All carnival clubs welcome, so get yourselves down there and give the concerts the send-off they deserve 🍻💛

BRIDGWATER FAIR STARTS TODAY! 🎡🎠

Heading up to St Matthew's Field? Pop into The Golden Ball first for a drink at a great price before you hit the rides 🍻

Some of our drinks are available to take away too, so you can grab one for the walk up 🥤

Did you know? 🤔 St Matthew's Fair was first recorded way back in 1249, when it was mainly a sheep fair. It had grown so big by 1404 that it moved out of the town centre to St Matthew's Field, where it's been held ever since. It used to be a one-day fair, but it became three days in 1857 and got a fourth day in 1919 after the weather was so bad that the traders needed the extra time. Nearly 800 years later, it's still one of the biggest nights in Bridgwater's calendar!

We're looking for friendly, reliable bar staff to join the team at The Golden Ball.

You'll be serving drinks, looking after guests, and keeping the bar running smoothly. Hours are flexible around what the pub needs — evenings and weekends included.

You must be 18 or over. Experience behind a bar is useful but not essential if you're keen and quick to learn. A warm manner and a bit of hustle matter more.
