We re-opened this beautiful classic village pub in November 2014, after a closure of nearly 8 years. Owned and restored by the community and operated by a management team that shares our values and vision for a pub that is the hub of our community and a hidden gem of traditional hospitality. Superb Shropshire food, real ales from Shropshire and beyond, great wines to try by the glass, wonderful freshly ground coffee and free WiFi. Our refurbishment has also included the Oak Room, a restaurant conservatory which also acts as our village community room and function space for meetings and parties.

We just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone that visited last week. It was so lovely to see you all enjoying the food and popping in for a drink 🍺 🍷

We’re still busy working behind the scenes. This week we’ll be open on Wednesday 23rd 12pm-3pm & 6pm-11pm Wednesday this week we’ll only be serving drinks, as we’ve got some equipment being installed in the kitchen.

From Thursday 24th we’ll be serving lunch and dinner until Sunday. So please book a table via the website, or give us a call.

A little update from The Pheasant at Neenton…

As many of you know, we’ve been busy behind the scenes giving The Pheasant a little refresh and preparing for the next chapter of our community pub.

We had originally planned to reopen on Thursday 10th September, but a few unexpected things have cropped up during the refurbishment and preparations. We’ve therefore made the decision to give ourselves a little more time and will now be reopening on:

We’re sorry for any inconvenience or disappointment this change may cause, particularly to those who were already looking forward to visiting us.

There’s lots happening behind the scenes — from improvements around the pub to getting the kitchen ready, developing the menus, and bringing together our new team. We want to make sure we take the time to get things right before we open the doors again.

A huge thank you to everyone who has been helping, supporting and getting stuck in. As a community-owned pub, that support really does mean a great deal.

Please keep an eye on our social media over the next couple of weeks as we share some of the progress and give you a glimpse of what we’ve been up to.

The new Pheasant team can’t wait to welcome you back from Thursday 17th September.
