The oven turns up. But here's the problem.

The shop had no shopfront on yet, so it got delivered to a warehouse, across town.

Which meant moving three tonnes of oven through town… in the middle of the night 🌙

I could've built myself a house in the time it actually took 😅

New walls, ripped-up floors, new plumbing, the lot. All done ourselves, most nights covered in dust.

It was hard. But it was ours.

Some more updates…

Back in June we said Bridgend would be closed Mondays and Tuesdays for the summer, and we'd be back to 7 days once Porthcawl was up and running. Well, for now, we've officially decided to stay closed on Mondays and Tuesdays in both Bridgend and Porthcawl.

Before anyone panics… no, Tenner Tuesday isn't going anywhere! We know how much you lot love it, so we've just moved it along a day.

Say hello to TENNER TWEDNESDAY! (and yes, we do know how to spell Wednesday 😂)

Large pizzas from £10, Wednesdays only. First one's tonight, both shops, 5-9pm.

Well, Porthcawl, it was fun while it lasted!

Running a business is tough. People always think you’re minted… maybe because you always look busy, or because you have lots of staff, or because you’re opening a second location, who knows?!

Truth is, anyone who has run a small business will know that the journey is brutal. It’s full of ups and downs. Hurdles come at you so fast, sometimes they hit you before you even see them! Every day, it feels like pushing a rock up a hill… and thats the stuff you’re dealing with in house!

The time, effort and cost - to get anything a few steps forward is often more than most could imagine - but you jump through all the hoops, you stay the course and finally hit a milestone… then someone moans about a bit of colour.

Anyway, we’ve pulled it down. We’re gutted, but we’ll crack on. If it was you, pop in some time and get to know us. We’ll sort you a pizza on the house. We’re not here to upset people - we just wanna make good takeaway pizza for folks, and bring some fun vibes!

On to the next hurdle!

Porthcawl! We are finally open 🥹 We’re gonna experiment with the hours and see what works, but for now 12-9pm every day!

Walk-in and collection for a little while whilst we find our feet, then we’ll roll out delivery as soon as we can!

Some honest news.

Bridgend will now be closed Mondays and Tuesdays for the summer.

Before anyone panics, no, we haven’t gone bust… we’re still slinging dough.

As most of you know, we’re opening in Porthcawl soon and we want to focus on getting it right rather than spreading ourselves thin and doing two shops badly. It’s summer and lots of people take holiday during this time, and we don’t want to throw new staff in at the deep end and risk standards dropping.

If you've been with us since day one, you'll know we've got no issues with doing what we think is best even when it costs us - and sometimes, whilst we are still learning to crawl, then walk, then run, shutting shop is the right call.

We think we've (mostly) made the right calls over the last couple years, and though it can be tempting to try and bring in every penny we can, the goal for us is happy customers more than anything.

So Mon and Tue this summer, we’ll be a few miles down the road building the next one. Wednesday to Sunday in Bridgend stays exactly the same. As soon as we’re confident and everyone is back from hols, new staff settlesd etc, we’ll be back to 7 days a week in the Big end, too!

So if you need your fix on Mondays or Tuesdays, once Porthcawl is open, you can come grab a slice and eat it by the ocean! 🌊🍕🔥
