Who is Chef Carla Jones and what can you expect from the Anima residency at the Canteen?
Carla is a well respected head chef and leader with an obsession for culinary excellence and an impressive and extensive hospitality background, including being awarded 3 AA Rosettes.
Carla's culinary journey began at the young age of 14 when she first stepped foot in a kitchen.
After honing her skills and gaining invaluable experience in London, Carla earned a certificate of excellence from the renowned .koffmann! Her talent and dedication to her craft were further recognized when she appeared on the popular television show, Master Chef, in 2018. Carla was listed “one to watch” by .
Carla’s passion is also mentoring & developing the skills of young chefs and helping to develop the next generation of culinary professionals.
Carla's love for working in Devon stems from the region's abundant supply of fresh, local produce. She believes in showcasing the natural flavors and quality of ingredients in her dishes, creating memorable culinary experiences for her clients.
While building Anima Dining and Events, Carla continues to pursue her culinary aspirations. She has set her sights on competing in the Culinary Olympics in 2024, representing England, a testament to her commitment to pushing boundaries and achieving culinary excellence.
Alongside all of this Carla and the Anima team will now take residency at New Coast Canteen from 14th September. They will be offering a fine dining experience that showcases their skills, experience and the best of what the region has to offer.
