Over the years the pub itself has been extended to form what it is today. Proudly standing on The Green it has a great location in the centre of the village opposite the Village Hall and only a short walk to the local Fish & Chip shop, Village store, Butchers, Hairdressers and the wonderful Braunston Marina. The pub plays host to various teams during the week for pool, darts and traditional Northa

mptonshire Skittles. We have regular food pop ups, live music and host to other events. We (Claire and Chris) bought the pub in March 2016 and extend a warm welcome to the whole of Braunston and all who pass by or through.

Between the fantastic Braunston Paddox Cricket Club raising £367.20 in a charity cricket match and donations put in the charity collection pot on the bar we’ve managed to donate £442.20 to the MND Association 🧡💙

𝗛𝗲𝗹𝗽 𝗽𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲....
We are so shocked and saddened to even be writing this, but unfortunately one of our lovely regulars was attacked from behind on his walk home from the pub last evening. This wasn’t just one hit, but a prolonged 2-3 minute attack including him being stamped on and kicked in the head whilst he lay on the floor
We are putting out a plea for the two gentleman that heard this from outside the pub on the other side of the green and went over to help. Please make contact with us to provide your contact details for the police. Also, huge thank you for going to help, without your intervention this attack could have gone on longer.
The police have been informed.

We’re on the look out for someone to join our small team for 10-12 hours per week (2 shifts). This might suit someone who is looking for an additional job who is free in the evening (from 7pm) and weekends (shifts are either 12-6 or 6 - close generally)
We are an independently owned family ran business who really value - reliability, honesty and positive ‘can do’ attitudes. For this reason bar experience isn’t necessary, as full training can be provided for the right applicant
As this is a village location it is vital that our new team member has a way of getting home safely after work if they don’t live in Braunston as there are not any buses that late 😑 The applicant must be OVER 18.
This role will include (but not limited to):
- taking orders and serving alcohol
- setting up and clearing down the bar
- basic cellar work
- stocking up
- general cleaning duties
- preparing and serving coffee
- opening up/locking up
- handling cash and card payments
- providing excellent customer service
- working with other team members

We pay above national minimum wage ✨

Earlier on in the day we have the Nations Championship rugby 🏉 Fiji and Scotland kicking off at 14.10, S.Africa face Wales at 16.40 then finally Argentina V England at 20.10. Let’s hope we can beat the Argentinians today! 🫢

We are doing a give away for the Vitality Blast Finals day at Edgbaston cricket ground this coming Saturday! (18th July) We have a PAIR of tickets with seats in the Res Wyatt stand - great location close the fan park/food/bars etc!
Three huge T20 games of cricket - but who will win!? 🏏 First game kicks off at 11am
Blast tickets for finals day in the Res Wyatt stand are priced at £105 EACH! So this is worth around £210!!

People who buy houses near pubs have to expect a certain level of noise, but it’s been a real debate about staying open to show the England V Mexico game in the early hours of Monday morning…. Especially given that Kier Starmer has extended licensing hours and not announced an impromptu bank holiday so everyone can be off 🫢
So, this is our plan…. In an attempt not to disturb our neighbours too much.
We will be taking bookings for watching the match, and we would like to request that all please try and keep noise to a minimum to and from the pub. The outside bench/smoking area will be closed, and kindly ask that anyone who needs to go out for a cigarette does so at the back.
