❤️ SUNDAY WAS SOMETHING SPECIAL. ❤️
We planned it for almost a year. The weather forced us to change almost everything at the last minute. And somehow, you turned it into our biggest day yet.
But that’s not the bit we’re most proud of.
What Sunday really showed us is just how special it can be when a community comes together. ❤️
The plans for Sunday had been coming together since the day after last year’s Garden Party. Almost a year of ideas, organising and getting everything ready — then, right at the last minute, the whole plan had to change.
We’re now in our third year at The Blacksmiths, and this year has certainly thrown a few challenges our way. But time and time again, one thing has stayed the same — the support we get from this community.
Seeing the place full of families, friends, familiar faces and plenty of new ones, all enjoying themselves together, was what made Sunday so special.
That’s why we do this.
We want The Blacksmiths to be somewhere people can get together, make memories, support one another and feel part of something. Sunday was exactly that. ❤️
And perhaps nothing summed that up better than what you did for Bam.
Between Bam’s Big Raffle, the collection tin and the Tequila Rose shots, you raised an incredible...
❤️ £1,145 FOR BAM’S FAMILY ❤️
Thank you to everyone who bought a raffle ticket, donated a prize, put something in the tin or raised a Tequila Rose in Bam’s memory.
You raised every penny of that £1,145 for Bam’s family, and we can’t thank you enough for getting behind something that meant so much to so many. ❤️
Of course, there are a lot of people who helped make the rest of the day what it was too...
🎶 The Above Band — the compliments just kept coming! You were brilliant and we’ll definitely be having you back.
🎤 April Davies — back for her second Garden Party and brilliant as always. A regular face at our events and a firm favourite with our customers, April also did so much behind the scenes to help organise the entertainment and adapt everything when the plans changed. Thank you, April. ❤️
🎤 Cal White — your first time with us, but definitely not your last. The feedback was fantastic!
⚔️ Rumi — an absolute hit with the little ones, with singing, dancing, games and some very important Demon Hunter training! We had brilliant feedback from children and parents alike.
🎧 James — we might as well officially call you our resident DJ at this point! 😂 A familiar face from Freestyle Fridays and so many of our events, James was back for his second Garden Party, helping organise, getting the performers set up and keeping everything running through all the changes. Thank you.
And a massive thank you to our team. You had months of plans changed on you at the last minute, then found yourselves looking after a very full Blacksmiths! You adapted, worked your socks off and just got on with it. We couldn’t have done it without you. ❤️
Thank you as well to all the stalls and local businesses who signed up to be part of this year’s Garden Party. The weather meant not everyone could join us, which we completely understand, but we appreciate every one of you for getting behind it.
Whether you made it on Sunday or not, tag your business/page in the comments so people can find you and show you some support. Hopefully we’ll see you all at another event soon. ❤️
We didn’t manage to capture nearly as much of Sunday as we’d have liked — we were just a little busy! 😂 But we did get a few photos and videos along the way, so we’ll be sharing those in a little Garden Party dump soon.
We know plenty of you had your phones out too, so if you caught a photo or video, pop it in the comments or tag The Blacksmiths — we’d love to see the bits we missed and see the day through your eyes. ❤️
After everything Sunday threw at us, it reminded us of something we’ve learned time and time again since arriving at The Blacksmiths:
Whatever gets thrown our way, you stick by us, show up for us and get behind what we do — and we’ll never take that support for granted. ❤️
Thank you for continuing to turn up, get involved and make these days what they are.
And seeing as planning usually starts the minute one Garden Party finishes...
☀️ Summer Sessions will be back in 2027.
What they’ll look like? We’ll keep that to ourselves for now 👀 — but we’ve already got plenty of ideas.
One date you can put in the diary...
