Meet the Beekeepers 🐝 🍯 11-3 with Hollow Oak Stores at The Old Bakery.
Enjoy one of our honey cakes or some honey infused lunches then check out the Simon Hall AWCB demonstrations and finally amble down the orchard to the National Trust South West Heritage Open Day at the mill.

🐝 We’ve been playing with some delicious new recipes this week in preparation for the Taste East Devon Festival food festival.
🍯 We will be participating 16-20th September with a ‘Celebration of Branscombe Honey’! 🍯 🐝
Expect a week of cakes, grilled sandwiches and baked cheeses all with honey pairings.
⏰ SUNDAY 20th 11-3 will be ‘Meet the Beekeepers’ day where you can come along to hear all about the bees and taste and shop lots of glorious produce from Hollow Oak Stores 🫶.
Sunday will also feature further food related fun with the Branscombe Water Mill Heritage Open Day. The mill will be working and the National Trust National Trust South West team and volunteers will be in Victorian dress!

To top it all off the Simon Hall AWCB will be open and demonstrating some award winning traditional smithing 🔨 🔥

I’m sorry to say that I’ll be closed tomorrow to allow my back time to rest and recover for next week. The weather looks pretty iffy too.

If you’re in Branscombe and looking for something to do then there’s a charity event in the village hall 10.30-2.30 in aid of Seaton hospice at Home. They will be serving refreshments.

We are delighted that our friends (the OTHER Tom & Emily!) have begun grazing their beautiful Devon Red cattle here in Branscombe.
If you’d like to purchase some free range, grass fed Devon beef then look no further. Rebel Red Beef rebel_red_beef now available at The Old Bakery. Mince, diced and joints in the freezer from tomorrow.

Morning. Well, as predicted it’s an absolute scorcher!! I’ve stocked up on parasols to keep you shady in the garden and will make a nice salad for lunch. There will be local gelatos from Cortona Gelato Lab in Seaton and also iced coffee available.
It’s very very hot though so if we find it’s unbearable later we might close early and jump in the sea. If you’re making a special trip do check here for updates later.
