☀️ A little update! 🖤💛

Firstly, apologies for being closed on Saturday!

We had a few unexpected hiccups with the building work over the weekend, which also means our bacon & bean pots and freshly cooked chips won’t be available until tomorrow (Tuesday). 🍟🥓 Sorry for the delay!

But there’s good news too! 😍

Our little café is coming along nicely, and we’re slowly turning it into the cosy space we’ve been imagining!

We’ve got our new seating area taking shape, and we’re expecting more tables and chairs to arrive this week! 🪑

That means more space to sit down, enjoy your breakfast or lunch, have a coffee and take a little break from your busy day. ☕🥪

Thank you for your patience and for supporting EVLYN while we make these improvements.

We’re getting there, one little improvement at a time! 🖤

NEW FROM MONDAY AT EVLYN!

Because when enough of you keep asking for the same thing, eventually we have to take the hint. 😂

From Monday the 12th we’re adding some new favourites to the menu:

🍳 Hot Breakfast Pots — beans, fried eggs, bacon and toast.

🍟 Fries — choose from Plain, Cheesy Loaded, or Bacon & Cheese Loaded Fries.

Available from Monday at EVLYN Café, Lakes Road, Braintree — opposite Buildbase.

A little change is happening at EVLYN Café… 👀

When we first opened, the idea was mainly grab-and-go — but we’ve noticed more and more of you choosing to sit in, have your coffee, eat your lunch and stay for a little while.

So… we’re making the space work better for you. 😊

We’re currently giving our little seating area a refresh, creating a more comfortable and welcoming place to sit, eat, have a coffee or catch up with someone.

We’re working with a very small space 😂 so every centimetre counts — but the plan is new tables and chairs, a little bar seating area, some greenery and warmer finishing touches.

And don’t worry — we’re still OPEN as usual while all of this is happening! The improvements will be happening around normal opening hours, so you can still pop in for your breakfast, lunch, coffee or something sweet.

We’re looking forward to seeing you — and hopefully very soon you’ll have an even nicer little space to sit and enjoy your food. ☕🥪

Freshly baked, ridiculously chunky and waiting for you at the cafe today — along with our Oreo brownies and homemade carrot cake.

Because if Monday insists on turning up every week, we might as well eat something good while dealing with it. 😂

A little Saturday surprise… we’re open! ☕🥪🖤

If you’re out and about this morning, avoiding the housework, pretending you need to pop out for something, or simply fancy a good coffee and something to eat… I fully support your decision. 😂

We’re here until 1pm today, serving breakfast pots, overnight oats, fresh bowls, jacket potatoes, hot toasties and drinks.

And it’s our first Saturday opening, so I’m quietly curious to see whether you lovely lot actually want us here on Saturdays. 👀😂

So yes — EVLYN Café is now open SATURDAYS! 🎉

And from 1st October, we’re officially entering soup season. 🥣🍂

Both served with toasted bread because soup without bread is just… sad. 😂

Say hello to Pepperoni & Cheese and Chicken Tikka & Cheese 🤤🧀 Hot, crispy and properly loaded.

And YES… our toasties now come with crisps! 😂 Because apparently a toastie sitting in the box by itself looked a little too lonely.
