📣 BIG NEWS FROM GOD’S OWN GRUB! 📣

We’ve been keeping a little secret…

From 31st August, we’re incredibly excited to be taking over the legendary Preston Martin’s Café in Ovenden, Halifax, which will become God’s Own Grub Café! ❤️

Firstly, we’d like to say a huge thank you to Claire and Zoe for everything they’ve done to keep this much-loved café going. As a local institution that’s been serving the community since the 1940s, we know just how special it is, and we’re honoured to be continuing its story.

To all of Preston Martin’s loyal customers – don’t worry! Your favourite menu items aren’t going anywhere. We know how much people love the café classics, so they’ll still be there alongside some exciting new additions from God’s Own Grub.

And don’t panic… our food truck isn’t going anywhere either! We’ll continue serving from the truck while also welcoming you into our new café, giving you even more ways to get your God’s Own Grub fix.

Our vision for God’s Own Grub Café is simple:
☕ Serve the best coffee in Halifax
❤️ Create a warm, welcoming space where everyone feels at home
🤝 Continue being a café that’s at the heart of the Ovenden community

To help us achieve that, we’ll be closing for a week or two after we take over while we install a brand-new coffee machine and make a few other improvements to ensure everything is just right before we welcome you through the doors.

When we reopen, you’ll be able to enjoy:
🍳 Breakfasts, lunches and your favourite café classics
☕ Exceptional coffee
🥪 Catering for meetings, events and special occasions
📱 Direct online ordering
🛵 Delivery through our delivery partners
🚚 Plus, of course, the God’s Own Grub food truck will still be out serving as usual!

Our opening hours will be:
🕖 Monday - Saturday | 7:00am - 2:00pm

A little heads up before all the excitement… 😊

The food truck will be taking a well-earned break from 16th August to 23rd August while we recharge the batteries before what promises to be our biggest chapter yet. Once we’re back, it’ll be full throttle as we prepare to take over the café on 31st August and bring God’s Own Grub to two locations!

We’re so excited to begin this new chapter and can’t wait to welcome both familiar faces and new ones through the doors.

Thank you for all your support so far. We genuinely couldn’t do this without you, and we can’t wait to show you what we’ve been working on.

Looking forward to getting back to Skipton tomorrow!

Well... it's that time again! 😁

We're back where it all began... our much-loved hometown of Skipton! ❤️

Skipton Artisan Market returns to the Canal Basin this Sunday, from 10am until 4pm, and we'd absolutely love to see you there.

📍 Just pop "Skipton Artisan Market" into Google Maps and it'll take you straight to us at the Canal Basin, Skipton, BD23 1LH.

Come along and support some fantastic independent businesses , not just at our market, but throughout this wonderful town.

Skipton is packed with unique little shops, hidden gems tucked away down the side streets, fabulous tea rooms and plenty of delicious places to grab a bite to eat.

🍔 Feeling peckish? Our very own Gods Own Grub food trailer will be at the Canal Basin serving up what many say
is a cracking breakfast butty (perfect for the morning after the night before! 😆), also available is the nicest smash burgers you'll find this side of Yorkshire.

Why not make a proper day of it? Take a stroll along the beautiful Leeds & Liverpool Canal, enjoy a relaxing canal boat trip, explore the magnificent Skipton Castle, or simply soak up the atmosphere in one of the happiest and friendliest market towns around.
Just make sure you come and visit us too 😊

There's plenty to see, plenty to do, and plenty of reasons to spend the day in Skipton.
