It is with great sadness that we must tell all our fantastic customers that we will be closing down permanently at the end of this month.
Since Covid, things just haven’t been the same, prices have gone up massively across the board, utilities through the roof, and another wage increase on the way (our team deserve a pay rise, but unfortunately the numbers just don’t add up anymore). When the kiosk opened in the bottom car park, we noticed a definite reduction in our takings, we were told that’s just how it is.
We struggle through every winter hoping to make it to spring, I think we did 14 winters.
Big thanks to Wendy, Siobhan and the team, you’ve done a great job.
Unfortunately, the negativity from some parties, taking notes on what we do at the cafe to report to others just isn’t worth it anymore, so thank you for your support 👍
The plug has been pulled, we wish whoever comes in after us can make it work.
Nothing seems to be ‘confidential’ in these matters, our staff have overheard conversations regarding the cafe and our position in it, by those who shouldn’t be talking about it when people might hear, well done, really professional 👍👍
Although we could apply to be the new tenant, it’s been made obvious we shouldn’t.
So once again, big thanks. We think it’s been 14 years or so, we’ve built up a great customer base, have tried to look after everyone, but the time has come.
