🐉🚣‍♀️ DRAGON BOAT RACE 2026 🚣‍♂️🐉

This Sunday, our Rooted In team, Sugar Snap Kitchen team and some fantastic friends will be taking on the Dragon Boat Race in Saltaire once again! 💪🌊

Last year was an incredible day. Not only did we win the 🏆 Super Cup, but we were also blown away by the generosity shown towards our £2,500 fundraising target.

The money raised helped us prepare and submit the planning application to transform the former Vicarage into a new community and family hub in Allerton. 🏡❤️

After bat surveys 🦇, tree surveys 🌳, noise surveys 🔊, grass surveys 🌱, traffic surveys 🚗 and lots of paperwork 📋, we secured planning permission this April! 🎉

This year, we’re continuing our fundraising efforts to help provide match funding for larger grants and take the next steps towards making this vision a reality.

A huge thank you to everyone who supported us last year, and thank you for considering supporting us again this year. Everyone who contributes will be invited to see what we’re creating and be part of the opening celebrations 🎈✨

The Sugar Snap Kitchen coffee shops are owned by the charity and for the first time in 20+ years we are going to have a space to call our own! Working with Leeds Diocese and we have submitted our planning application!

Using us for your morning coffee, daily lunch or afternoon treat helps contribute towards rescuing this beautiful building and creating a place for generations of children and young people in our community!
