New analysis reveals that hospitality has the highest tax rate of any sector in the UK, more than double the tax rate of the banking industry (40.5%).
Hospitality is one of the nation’s largest employers, providing millions of jobs across the country, yet the suffocating costs mean businesses can no longer afford to keep staff.
Ahead of the Budget on 28 October, together with the British Retail Consortium, we’re calling on the Chancellor to reduce our cost burden and protect millions of people working on the high street.
It's not the cost of going out that's hurting hospitality. It's the tax on it.
