Big fat turnip competition!

Yes you read that correctly. On shift together Jonny & Ellie noticed that our favourite pub in York advertised they were doing a turnip growing competition.

We messaged to see if we could copy their idea, and they kindly said yes, and even suggested future collaboration.

A few exchanges with our friend and we had a poster, and seeds ordered.

We have the packets ready to go. Please come in, pick up a packet and get growing… in your allotment, in your yard or your kitchen 🤷🏻‍♀️

Heaviest turnip wins a meal & drink of your choice 🥯 weigh in day will be 22nd August

Chef Pia has been busy in the kitchen baking chocolate and vanilla ‘Village Cookies’ for the weekend 💚

Also, rumour has it that there will be FREE birthday cake for all customers 👀🎂 (whilst stocks last)
