🍽️ We're Hiring – Head Cook 👩‍🍳👨‍🍳

We're looking for an experienced Head Cook to join our friendly team on a 12-month fixed-term contract (maternity cover), starting September.

📍 Hours: 27.5 hours per week
🕣 Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 2:00pm
💷 Pay: Negotiable (hourly rate)

About the role:
You'll lead the daily operation of a school kitchen, preparing and serving high-quality meals, supervising the catering team, maintaining excellent food safety and hygiene standards, and managing stock and kitchen records.

What we're looking for:
✅ Previous cooking experience in a professional kitchen is essential.
⭐ Experience in school or education catering is desirable but not essential.

Fresh Start Catering is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Head Cook to lead our kitchen team at Delapre School, Northampton.

In this role, you'll be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality, nutritious meals, managing the day-to-day operation of a busy school kitchen, maintaining food safety and hygiene standards, overseeing stock ordering and record keeping, and supporting and developing your catering team.
