“We’ve had some fantastic new cheeses arrive recently, so I thought I’d show you a few of them.

First up is Shadow Blossom from Germany. This is a wonderfully creamy, buttery cheese with a gentle peppery warmth running through it. What makes it really interesting is the coating — it’s covered in a blend of five different peppers, including Madagascan pepper, Kampot pepper and pink berries, with just a touch of cardamom. It’s rich, aromatic and something a little bit different if you’re looking to try a new cheese.

Next we have Sharpham Rustic from Devon. This is a lovely chive and garlic cheese, with the flavour added right at the start of the cheesemaking process so it runs naturally all the way through. It’s creamy, savoury and incredibly easy to enjoy — exactly the sort of cheese that disappears quickly on a summer cheeseboard.

And finally, we have Ticklemore, another cheese from Sharpham. This one is a goat’s cheese with a delicate crumbly texture and lovely fresh notes of lemon and herbs beneath the rind. It’s subtle, elegant and pairs beautifully with the richer cheeses on the board.

If you’re putting together a summer cheeseboard, these three work brilliantly together, each bringing something completely different to the table.”

Here at the Deli we are celebrating National Cheese Day with an English Organic Cotswold Brie from simonweaverorganic through thefinecheeseco
It is their organic,clover rich, Cotswold fields which helps give this cheese its light, fresh,and flavoursome taste. Thanks to their happy herd spending their days leisurely grazing the meadows of the River Dikler.
We hope you enjoy this cheese as it’s a really lovely delicate, light cheese for the Summer!

Mark has signed up to ride from London to Brighton off road in September in aid of the British Heart Foundation.
After loosing two friends to heart related illness we thought it would be a good idea to adopt them as our national Charity this year, as well as the local charities we are supporting this year.
