A proud moment for the Henrock team.

Last night, Henrock was recognised at no.40 in the Top 100 UK Restaurants at the , marking the first time we’ve ever been listed!

We are so incredibly proud. A huge amount of hard work has been put into this special restaurant, so we’re over the moon to be recognised. It wouldn’t be possible without the guidance of , who’s passion for the natural world forms the founding principles behind all that we do. We were very happy to see his commitment recognised with the Outstanding Industry Contribution Award - an award he so thoroughly deserves.

A special mention must also go to our head chef,, who was shortlisted for the Chef to Watch award alongside some of the country’s most exciting emerging chefs. It’s a testament to the skill and dedication he brings to Henrock every day. Over the last few years, we’ve watched Mark lead with curiosity, humour and determination - continually pushing himself and inspiring those around him.

These achievements are never the work of one person alone. They reflect the dedication of our chefs, front of house team, restaurant managers, growers, producers and everyone who contributes to creating the experience our guests enjoy every day.

Our head chef, Mark, and restaurant manager, Claire, are on their way to the National Restaurant Awards, which take place tonight. Mark has been shortlisted for the ‘Chef to Watch’ Award and Henrock has been included in the top 100 restaurants in the UK.  

We’re so excited to see how they do and are immensely proud that they have been recognised on a national level.

Our menu is shaped by what's growing and ready at in Cartmel.⁠

From young shoots and herbs to flowers and vegetables, everything arrives freshly harvested - often just hours after being picked, or still growing in their seed trays. It gives our chefs an incredible selection of the freshest seasonal ingredients to work with.⁠

As the season gathers pace, the menu evolves alongside it. New ingredients arrive almost daily, bringing summery flavours, colours and dishes reflecting what's growing around us right now.⁠
