We are a relaxed and informal cafe with cats, we have a £5 per person, per hour cat care cover charge that helps fund the home for our rescue cats. Please book on our website if you wish to visit, as we cannot always accept walk-ins.

Yess! We are celepurrating 🥛 beclaws protecting animals and our environment rules OK! Since opurrning in 2017 serves with a discount to promote kindness to the world and all it’s creatures. If you don’t already, why not give some tasty alternatives a try today? Oat, Soya and Coconut are on offur at Pause and we make some yummy plant-based milkshakes and smoothies too. Happy Purrthday to the big boss in charge, Clifford!

Clifford is twelve today and will be celepurrating by having a very long nap, followed by lots and lots of treats, a quick walk around the cafe to make sure everyone is respecting his pawthority and then another nice, long nap.

Did you know that Clifford, along with his brother and sister (from a different litter) Bear and Liquorice, was one of the first cat's to come and live here at the cafe! Purrhaps that’s why he put himself in charge since there was no one else to take the crown!

He will be getting purrlenty of fuss and treats from all of us today.

Can you purrlieve our youngest kitties are turning two years old today!

They have been such a purrfect addition to our little family here at Pause. They love having their playtime (if you've visited recently, you'll probably know that Lizzy has a particular love of hair bands) and having their downtime where they curl up for a refreshing cat nap!

They will be getting purrlenty of fuss and treats from all of us here!

What a sight to see on a sunny afternoon! We're delighted that mumma duck chose us as her first outing with the ducklings - just a shame we have a limit on how many little ones can be in the cafe at one time, and a rarely cited mammals only policy! We caught her off to try her luck further down the high street.

Happy gotcha day to our formerly feral queen, Michelle!

Since we don't know how old she is, we celepurrate the day she came to live with us with her three babies; Noodle, Sweetcheeks and Poppet! Michelle has come such a long way in the nine years we've had her - she purrs, she meows, she plays and she sits on people's laps for a fuss!

She will be getting purrlenty of fuss and treats from all of us here - especially the much coveted purrthday chicken, although she will have to share it with all of her furriends who live here with her!

Today we are wishing Bear & Liquorice a very happy 10th purrthday!

Bear and Liquorice are brother and sister, and they came to the cafe with their brother from another mother, Clifford. They're often found hanging out together whilst they have their respective snoozes. Bear is known for her distinctive meow and her love of springs being thrown for her and Liquorice loves a good belly rub and likes to bring toys from the toy boxes for all the cats to play with!

They'll be getting lot of fuss and special purrthday treats today!
