Something special is happening in the skies above Bournemouth tonight... 🌒✨

Join us at The Suncliff Hotel this evening and head outside to The Overcliff Pub’s outdoor area for a front-row seat to one of nature’s most spectacular sights: the 12th August 2026 solar eclipse! 🤩

Here in Bournemouth, we’ll experience an incredible partial solar eclipse, with around 93% of the Sun obscured by the Moon at its peak. The eclipse begins at approximately 6:18pm, reaching its spectacular maximum at around 7:14pm.

Grab a drink from The Overcliff Pub, find yourself a spot outside and look to the skies as the evening light takes on a rather extraordinary appearance! 🍻🌒

It’s not every day you get to enjoy a drink by the sea while watching an eclipse, so come along and experience this special moment with us. ✨

Don’t forget your proper eclipse glasses! Never look directly at the Sun without suitable solar-viewing eye protection. 😎
